An ooey, gooey concoction of cocoa and hazelnut, Nutella is rich, sweet, and so versatile! Dip pretzels into it, spread some on a warm waffle, or drop a dollop onto creamy vanilla ice cream! The options are endless. Here are 5 of our favorite ways to use Nutella! We hope you enjoy them!

Pie Iron Nutella and Fruit Dessert

Combining nutrient-rich Nutella with fresh fruit creates a dessert that will nourish the explorer in you. All you need is a set of pie irons and you can make these right over your campfire.

Whole Grain Bread
Fresh Fruit (strawberries, bananas, and blueberries work well)
Non Stick Spray

Step 1: Spray both sides of the pie iron with nonstick spray so you can easily remove it from the pie iron when it's ready.

Step 2: Spread Nutella on one piece of bread. Place the bread, Nutella side up, in one half of the pie iron.

Step 3: Top the Nutella-coated bread with your fruit.

Step 4: Spread more Nutella on a second piece of bread and place it, Nutella side down, on top of the fruit.

Step 5: Close the pie iron and cook over the fire until the bread is toasted. If you are using a harder fruit that you want to soften, such as apples, you will want to cook it in a cooler part of the fire for longer to allow the fruit to soften without burning the bread. You can also pre-cook the fruit in foil or on a stick before you put it into the pie if you desire.

Campfire Nutella Banana Boats

A slight spin on the traditional s'more, this recipe is sure to please. This adds the goodness of fresh fruit to a chocolaty melted marshmallow flavor that will dance on your taste buds!

Mini Marshmallows
Heavy Duty Aluminum Foil

Step 1: Leave the bananas in the peel and slit them lengthwise down the center, but don’t cut all the way through.

Step 2: Stuff your banana with a scoop of Nutella and some mini marshmallows.

Step 3: Wrap the banana in foil and cook over the fire until hot.

Step 4: Enjoy the delicious treat!

Nutella French Toast Rolls

Nothing beats French toast over an open fire. Except maybe Nutella French toast over an open fire! Get your skillet and a rolling pin out for this recipe. It may help to prepare through step 4 at home before you head out just to make things a little easier.

Sandwich Bread
2 Eggs
3 Tbsp. Milk
⅓ C. Sugar
A Big Scoop of Cinnamon

Step 1: Roll each piece of bread flat with a rolling pin.

Step 2: Spread a strip of Nutella across one end about an inch from the end and roll it up.

Step 3: In a shallow bowl, whisk together the milk and eggs.

Step 4: In another bowl mix the cinnamon and sugar.

Step 5: Butter your skillet and place it in the fire to let it melt.

Step 6: Coat the rolls in the egg mixture and place them seam down in the hot pan. Cook until brown and turn to cook all sides.

Step 7: As soon as they are done, coat the rolls in the cinnamon and sugar mixture. Cut into cinnamon-roll like pieces (optional).

Step 8: You can serve them with syrup if you want or even frosting (or the cream cheese dip below)!

Nutella Cream Cheese Dip

This may just be the perfect dip for those Nutella French toast rolls! Or you can just eat it with a spoon. We won’t judge.

1 C. Heavy Cream
1 8 oz Package Cream Cheese, Softened
2 Tbsp. Brown Sugar
¾ C. Nutella

Step 1: In a small bowl, whip the heavy cream until peaks form.

Step 2: In a medium bowl, whip together the cream cheese and brown sugar until smooth and blended and then add the Nutella and blend well.

Step 3: Fold the cream cheese mixture into the Nutella mixture and blend. You may want to do this half at a time to make it a little easier to mix.

Step 4: Start dipping! This is great for fruit, pretzels, or pretty much anything!

S'mores Pizza with Nutella

More s'mores! This time, it’s on a pizza! That means you can have s'mores for dinner, right? Well, maybe not without a belly ache so you may want to reserve this for dessert. If you have a rack for the campfire, use if for this recipe.

A Pizza Crust
Fruit of your choice (optional)
Mini Marshmallows

Step 1: Spread the Nutella across the pizza crust like it's pizza sauce. The more the better!

Step 2: Lay your fruit on top and sprinkle with mini marshmallows.

Step 3: Grill your pizza until it’s crispy. Keep an eye on the underside of it to ensure it’s not burning.

Step 4: Enjoy the deliciousness!
